Jesus, Your Provider!

Jesus, your Provider!
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 12.22
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, nor about the body, what will you put on.

I say to you ...who's I ?. Most people worry because they dont know the one who said do not worry. Hosea says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. When you know Jesus, his character, his ability, his love, his wisdom; your days of worry will be over forever.

Jesus commanded us not to worry because God has made him the head of the Church.  He is responsible for us. He is responsible for every single thing that concerns us. He has all authority in heaven and on earth. He is above all principality, all power, all might, all dominion and every name thats named not only in this age but also in the one to come. He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. All things were created through him, by him and for him. He is before all things and in him all things consist. He is the one who multiplied 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed more than five thousand people. He is the one who paid tax money from the mouth of a fish. He is the one who rebuked the winds and spoke to the sea. He is the one who defeated all hell and rose again victorious and alive forevermore. Do you know the one who told you not to worry.?

Jesus cares for you intimately and passionately. Do not let anyone take your eyes off from the word. When you know that He's responsible for you, you will understand the reason he commands us. This is the reason He said, if you love me, you will obey my commands. When you obey Him, you accept and acknowledge him as you Lord and Head. He is a love leader. Know today, He loves you and He's for you. He can fix anything and everything. Do not worry. Have faith in God. Shalom.

“Jesus is my Head. Jesus is my Shepherd. Jesus is my Vine. I trust Him and I do what He says. I refuse to worry. I trust My King. He loves me and will take care of me. I have no doubt. I completely trust my King of kings, my Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.”

Obedience pleases God.

Genesis 7.5
And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.

--> There's nothing more pleasing to God than obedience. Samuel said to Saul, 'To obey is better than sacrifice'. Mary said to the servants, 'Do whatever He tells you'.

When you read Hebrews 11 which is also known as Faith Hall of Fame, you see every person enlisted in the chapter was an obedient person. They heard what God said and did exactly what he said. Jesus said if you love me, you will obey me. By his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus made us new creations, he made us the righteousness of God, he made us sons of God and the seed of Abraham. He resuced and delivered us from the dominion of darkness, sin, sickness, poverty, curse and spiritual death. He loved us first even when we didn't deserve it.

Your obedience is a proof of your love for him. The only way you can love Jesus is by obeying what He has said in His word and what He says through the Holy Spirit. Make a quality decision to be an obedient child of God. As you walk in obedience, you will experience the manifestation of Gods glory and His best in every area of your life. Isaiah says,'If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best of the land'. Remember, we love because He first loved us. Shalom.

Faithfulness brings promotion.

Faithfulness brings promotion.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 16.10
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

God will never promote an unfaithful person. Faithfulness is big in the kingdom of God. Its big in the eyes of God.

A faithful person is one who can be trusted, one who is reliable, firm and steadfast. He will not leave nor forsake. He will stick till the end. God is faithful. Jesus is faithful. The bible says Abraham, Moses, David, Paul were faithful. Thats one of the reasons God could use them mightily because He could trust them. David was faithful in managing his father's sheep before he was promoted to be the king of Israel. Joseph was faithful with his father's sheep, he was faithful in Potiphars house and he was faithful in the prison before he was promoted to be the second most powerful person in the world. Faithfulness brings promotion. God is looking for faithful people. The Bible says His eyes are always searching for people who are faithful to him.

So wherever you are today, I encourage you to be faithful in all your endeavours. As an employee, as a husband, as a wife, as a son, as a daughter, as a parent, as a minister, as a businessman....Be faithful. Be faithful to God and His word. Promotion is on its way.

" I am a faithful person and I abound with many blessings. Wherever I am and whatever I have, I use it all for the glory of Jesus with gratitude. I look to Jesus and finish my course with excellence, holiness and joy."

The First and the Best

The first and the best.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Genesis 4:3‭-‬4
And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord . Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering.

Abel was a keeper of the sheep and Cain was a tiller of the ground. We bring offerings to God because by our giving we acknowledge that God is our source and sustainer. By our giving, we remember the Lord and acknowledge His undeniable participation in our prosperity.

Abel brought the first and the best of his work to God. Hebrews says by faith he offered it to God. He actually believed that all that he has today its because of the goodness and grace of God. It was evident in his offerings. Faith is expressed in actions. The Bible says God accepted Abels offering because it was offered by faith and its only by faith we can please God. The amount doesn't matter, what matters is faith - your trust in God. When a widow gave her last two coins into the temple treasury, Jesus said, she has given more than anyone else. You see, it wasn't about the amount, it was about her trust that was revealed when she gave everything she had. On the other hand, Cain didn't believe that God was his source and sustainer. He was of the view that God had nothing to do with his life and work and it was all because of his hard work, wisdom and intelligence and other human factors. Deuteronomy 8.18 says Remember the Lord your God for it is he who gives you the power to get wealth. Cain didn't offer it by faith. He didn't honour God with his first and best. He gave God leftovers. Therefore God didn't recieve or accept his offering. God doesn't need our offerings because He owns everything. He established the giving programme so that when you acknowledge God's involvement in your finances, He will bless you even more - more than you can imagine and more than you can work for. Your giving is not for God's benefit, it's for your benefit. The sooner you understand this, the more eager and excited you will be in your tithing, sowing and giving.

Friend, give God your first and best. Be it time, energy or money...etc. Every good gift and perfect gift comes from him. God is our Source and Sustainer. When you acknowledge this in your giving, you will step into a higher dimension of prosperity like you have never known before. Remember, the first and the best belongs to God. You will never lack. Dominion in finances!

"I give my first and best to the Lord and by doing so I honour Him and remember that He is the one who gives me the power to get wealth. The Lord is my Source and my Sustainer. I never lack. I walk in overflow, abundance and more than enough in my finances. Hallelujah."

Deception of Independence

Deception of Independence.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Genesis 3.7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

God commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the day he eats, he will die. Satan deceived them and He ate the fruit of the tree. When God said Adam would die, it meant that Adam would be seperated from him. This talks about spiritual death. Physical death is separation from body. Spiritual death is seperation from God.

God is sovereign and humans are not. God is independent and we are not, we are totally dependent. Satan decieved Eve and Adam, who was with her and convinced them that living independent lives is way better and there was no need for them to be dependent on God. Be your own God and live as you want. Thats exactly what Lucifer did. He tried to become God and was kicked out of heaven. The moment they ate of the fruit they got disconnected from God and were connected to Satan. As soon as they ate the fruit, their eyes were opened and they knew they were naked. Here, nakedness was a result of what happened in their spirit. They inherited the nature of Satan - they hid from God and started blaming and accusing one another - they became selfish.

Adam tried to fix this spiritual problem by making a suit of fig leaves. You cannot solve a spiritual problem with physical activities and things. Thats why no religion can save humanity. Jesus shed His blood and died for us on the cross, paid the punishment for Adams transgressions, destroyed the enemy and his works and rose again on the third day alive forevermore. The only way you can change your spiritual state is by believing what Jesus has done and by receiving Him as your Lord and Saviour. The moment you do that, you are born again. You become a new creation in Christ.  You inherit eternal life, the nature of God and you are made the righteousness of God in Christ. God becomes your Father and you become His beloved child. Jesus is the way!

"I am completely dependent on my Father. I say what I hear Him say, I do what I see Him do. I and my Father are one. Jesus has washed me, sanctified me and justified me by His blood. My complete dependence on my Father makes me a success just like Jesus. Hallelujah."

Use your Authority.

Mark 4.41
And they feared exceedingly and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey him"

--> Jesus rebuked the winds and spoke to the sea. Disciples were amazed at what Jesus did. They had never seen anything like this. Jesus was a man of faith, a man of authority. He knew his rights and exercised it. Jesus said he has given us the same authority to live a victorious and supernatural life. He has given us his faith, his word and his name. He expects us to walk in the supernatural just as He did.

Jesus said the things i did you will do and greater things than these you will do because I go to my Father. We have his authority and we have his faith and we can speak His word to the sea, to the winds, to the mountain, to any challenge that you are facing today and you will have the same results. Hallelujah. Jesus came as the sample son to demonstrate the lifestyle of the children of God.

The day you accepted Christ, you are a new creation, born of God, born of his word and by the power of the Holy Spirit. You are exactly like Jesus himself. So take your place. Know who you are. Speak. Keep moving in Jesus name. You will never be the same. Amen

His word is powerful.

Mark 4:15
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

—> Satan is after the word. Jesus said when the word is sown, he doesn't just come, he comes immediately. That tells me how scared Satan is when a believer hears the word, He doesn't want you to receive the word or walk in it, because if you do so, you will change your world by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Everytime you hear the word in church or television or wherever, remember Satan comes immediately to steal it. We must not have a casual attitude towards the word, we must highly reverence and honour the word. It is the word of the Almighty God. He sent his word and healed us. His word builds us up. His word is life. His word is wisdom.

The Lord spoke to me in my study years ago "Protect the word and the word will protect you". You will protect only what you value.  Its the word of the Almighty God. Its valuable. Its precious. Protect it. The Father is glorified when he sees much fruit in your life. Satan, on the contrary, wants your life to be barren, futile and miserable. No wonder he's after the word. It's only through the word, your life will be fruitful and glorious.

Hear the word, receive it, do what it says and live a fruitful life. His word is enough. Shalom.
