Your healing is Gods will.

Luke 5.13
Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”  Immediately the leprosy left him.

A man full of leprosy came to Jesus and said if you are willing, you can make me clean. Many  people are of this same opinion, they know God can heal them but just like this man they are not sure whether he will. They question his willingness.  They are not sure whether he will.

Healing is God's will for all men for all times. Isaiah says Jesus was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities, the punishment for our peace was upon him and by his stripes, wounds and bruises, we are healed.  Sickness is a curse and Galatians says Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us. You don't have to be sick. You don't have to be in pain. You don't have to be weak. Jesus came, died, went to hell, defeated all of hell and rose again on the third day so you could walk in total and complete healing, health and wholeness. As a born again child of God, healing is your birth right. Don't settle for anything less. Do not let Satan deceive you. Do not let religion deceive you. Healing belongs to you. Jesus purchased your healing with his own blood.

Jesus said to the leprous man, Ofcourse I will. The word says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.  Understand that your healing is God's will. So I encourage you to fight the good fight of faith and don't leave out on what Jesus has so graciously provided. By his blood he has forgiven all your sins and healed all your diseases. Psalms 103 says Bless the Lord,  O my soul, all my inmost being bless his holy name, who forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. Bless the Lord.

Faith can fix it.

Luke 8.25
But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

Jesus said to his disciples Let us go over to the other side of the lake. When the storms challenged the words of Jesus, the disciples were greatly afraid and concluded that Jesus didn't care for them.

Jesus rebuked the winds and said to them Where is your faith? The winds didnt obey Jesus because he was the Son of God, they obeyed because he used his faith. This is the reason he asked them where is your faith?. He knew faith could fix it because he had already given the disciples his word concerning the matter. The disciples allowed the storm to steal the words of Jesus. Hence they couldn't use their faith because there was no word foundation.   Once the devil stole the word, they were afraid and started blaming Jesus for being so  careless. Friend, no matter what challenges you are facing today, I want to let you know that your faith can fix it. When you hold on to the words of Jesus by faith, you access the power thats backing the words. Its only by faith you can access grace. Its only by faith you can access the power of God.

You see Jesus wasn't afraid of the storm. He spoke what he heard the Father say before he got into the boat and in the midst of the storm, he held on to the words of his Father.  When he spoke the words of the Father, the power of the Father was released and there was a great calm. I encourage you to speak the word of God to your challenges. As you hold firmly, steadfastly and consistently to your confession, you will see the manifestation of Gods power. Remember, your faith in Gods word can fix anything.

Lord, teach us

Lord, teach us.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 11.1
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

Prayer was of top most priority in the life of Jesus. The disciples never saw Jesus skip prayer in spite of his busy schedule. For Jesus, prayer was more important than ministry itself. The disciples understood the secret behind the successful life of Jesus and they asked him, Lord, teach us how to pray.

God created mankind in his image and in his likeness so he could fellowship with us. Fellowship was the reason for creation. Fellowship results in dominion. This is exactly what we see in the life of Jesus. He was in daily and constant communion with his Father and the result was, he dominated every where he went. He healed people, walked on water, spoke to a fig tree, rebuked fever, scolded winds, raised the dead, blessed humanity and glorified his Father. Prayer should never be a burden. Its an awesome privilege that God has given humanity to connect with him. The apostle Paul says pray without ceasing. That means always stay connected to God. Jesus said I am the vine, you are the branches, he who abides in me and my words abide in him will bear much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. This verse shows the power of fellowship, the power of prayer. Jesus has given us his name to use in prayer. He has given us his word to help us understand the principles that govern prayer. He has given the mighty Holy Spirit to help us in our prayer life. What a wonderful Saviour we have!

Saint, you were created to have fellowship with God. Begin spending time with God every day of your life. Pray to the Father in the name of Jesus and ask according to his word and He will answer. Worship him with songs of praise and thanksgiving. Spend time praying in tongues. Spend time listening to Him, for our God is not dead but alive. You may be struggling in some areas of your life today but as you start spending time with God, you will begin to overcome the challenges and enjoy your life. Begin today. God bless you.

*"I am a person of prayer. Prayer is my priority. Spending time with my Father is my top most priority. I walk with my Father and I have dominion in every area of life. Thank you Lord!"*

Praise is power.

Psalms 22.3
But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.

Every time you praise God, something extraordinary happens. God inhabits, dwells and enthornes the praises of his people. When you praise God,  God shows up.

You remember Paul and Silas were put in prison for preaching the gospel. They were beaten very bad and were in chains. There was no reason to praise God in that moment. They didn't feel like praising God. But the word says Paul and Silas started signing and praising God. They made a decision to praise God inspite of the terrible challenges they were facing. As they were praising God, there was an earthquake and the foundation of the prison was shaken and chains came out of their hands and the prison doors were opened. Hallelujah. Praise is powerful. Friend, you may be in a similar situation as Paul and Silas. You see no reason to praise God. Things may be tough right now. Many challenges may be surrounding you. Just like Paul and Silas, I encourage you no matter what you are going through, just begin to praise God.  To praise means to exalt, to magnify, to speak highly of. As you take your eyes away from the problems, the difficulties and challenges and begin to praise God, God will show up and when God shows up, the foundation of that problem will he shaken.

Praising God is a choice. Make a quality decision to exalt him. Tell him that he is All powerful. There is nothing that he cannot do. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Jesus is Lord.

His mercy endures forever

His mercy endures forever.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Ephesians 2.4
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much

I am so glad that our Father God is rich, abundant and immense in mercy. His mercy never ends and its new every morning. It's because of his mercy, grace and great love that we are alive today.  Psalms 136 says the Lord is good and his mercy endures forever.

It's God's mercy that we didn't get what we deserved. Our sins qualified us to be under God's wrath and condemnation.  We were by nature, children of God's wrath. Romans 5. 6-8 says very rarely will someone die for a righteous man, some one may even dare to die for a good man. But God demonstrates his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, ungodly, weak and his enemies, Christ died for us. The biggest display of God's mercy, love and grace is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our salvation has nothing to do with our works. No flesh will boast before God. We are not saved because of any good, nice or clean things we did. The Bible says all of our righteous deed are like filthy rags. It's not because of our good works, it's simply because God is rich in mercy, abundant in grace and great in love. Today, I encourage you to receive his mercy. He doesn't judge you or condemn you. He loves you irrespective of the mistakes you have made, irrespective of the sins you have committed, He still loves you and wants to extend his mercy and grace to you. Receive His mercy! Receive Jesus, for He is the fullness of God's grace and mercy. Stay connected to Jesus, your Source and Sustainer.

A woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus, Jesus didn't condemn her because he is rich in mercy. He spoke to her and said, 'I do not condemn you. Go and sin no more'. He did not stone her but extended his mercy by forgiving her of what she did and gave her his grace, his ability to sin no more. Beloved, his mercy endures forever and his grace is sufficient.  Come boldly to the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace to help you in your time of need. Hallelujah.

"My Father is the Father of mercies. My sins were many and my punishment was severe but God, who is rich in mercy and because of His great love, sent Jesus to die for me. The blood of Jesus has wiped out my sins and paid for my entire punishment. His mercy endures forever. Hallelujah. I sin no more!"

His will is His bill.

Genesis 22.14
And Abraham called the name of the place, The- Lord -Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

God told Abraham to offer his only son as a burnt offering to the Lord on one of the mountains in the land of Moriah. The bible says Abraham got up early morning and started his journey. Obedience pleases God.

As Abraham was about to offer his son, the angel of the Lord intervened and there was a ram caught in the thickets by its horns. Gods vision will never lack Gods provision. If you do what God has called you to do, you will never lack provision. His will is His bill. In the mount of God it shall be provided. You remember, Jesus spoke about the birds of the air. He said they neither sow nor reap nor store in barns yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Birds are created to fly and as they do what they are created to do they find food. Gods provision is in Gods vision. In the will of God it shall be provided. We must step out on his word and start on his vision. Abraham couldn't see a ram when he started but He stepped out anyhow. Many a times, people don't step out in their God given purpose and call because they can't see how their needs will be met. We live by faith and not by sight. We serve a God who is Jehovah Jireh, the one who sees ahead and provides.

I encourage you to discover your God given assignment and fulfill it because Gods vision never lacks Gods provision.  Although you may not see any signs of provision but step out in faith because the same God who takes care of birds is the same God who will take care of us. In the Mount of God it shall be provided.

Do not touch.

Genesis 20.3
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

--> When Abraham came to the land of Gerar Abhimelech, the king of Gerar took Sarah, Abrahams wife for himself. But God intervened and spoke on Abrahams behalf.

You see, Abraham had a covenant with the Almighty God. God said to him whoever blesses you I will bless but whoever curses you I will curse. When Abhimelech touched Abrahams wife, He actually touched God. God showed up and took care of the matter. This was for Abraham who had a covenant with God in the blood of animals. How much more will God do it for us, we who have a covenant with God in the blood of his precious son, Jesus. Anyone one who touches you touches God. Its dangerous to touch God. Friend, be conscious of the covenant that God has made with you in the blood of his son Jesus. The bible says the battle is the Lords and the Lord will fight for you. When Satan and his team tries to steal your health, your finances, your peace, your joy or may be your job or house or family member do not give up. Keep believing and keep confessing that you are Abrahams seed and that you have a covenant with the Almighty God in the blood of Jesus.

Christ has given us the victory. Stay in your position of victory and declare your victory over Satan and his entire kingdom. As you do it with praise and thanksgiving, heaven fights for you and keeps you in victory. For victory is your birthright and you will enjoy it all the days of your life. Victory all the time for Jesus has done it all. Hallelujah.

The most important thing.

The most important thing.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Proverbs 4.7
Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Wisdom is not one of the most important things. Wisdom is the most important thing. Solomon says get wisdom, get understanding even if it may cost you everything you have. Wisdom is the ability to dominate in every arena of life.

Wisdom has long life in her right hand and riches and honour in her left. All her ways are of peace and joy. No wonder Solomon says make wisdom your top most priority and get it any cost. Proverbs 8.11 says, 'For wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.' No matter which profession you are in or what your age is, you need wisdom so that you can use your time, energy and resources in the most effective way and enjoy your life of dominion. This verse says get wisdom. It tells us that wisdom is the principal thing and then it says go after it, seek it and pursue it because once you get it, the rewards are outstanding. What wisdom gives is better than finest gold, better than finest silver. Wisdom gives you riches, honour, enduring wealth and righteousness. People who love wisdom inherit wealth and their treasuries are filled. How do you get wisdom? The word of the God is the wisdom of God. Jesus is the wisdom of God in action. As you grow in the word of God and in the revelation of Jesus Christ, you will begin to operate in God's wisdom. You will make the right decisions, you will make wise and profitable choices. You will be able to discern things in your daily life. You will have an insight into reality. The world's wisdom and man's wisdom is foolish, God's wisdom is supreme.

The Bible says Christ is our wisdom. In Him are all the treasure of wisdom and knowledge. He lives in us through the Holy Spirit. Everything you need is in you right now. The very wisdom with which God founded the earth and established the heavens is in you right now. Hallelujah. Make a decision to give the word of God first place and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and as you do it, you will walk in supernatural wisdom and have supernatural impact for Jesus. Remember, wisdom is the most important thing.

“Wisdom is the most important thing. The word of God is the wisdom of God. As I grow in the word, I grow in the wisdom of God. I look to Jesus who is the wisdom of God in action and I follow the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of wisdom. Christ, my wisdom lives in me. I dominate in every area of life. Hallelujah.”

All or none.

All or none.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Mark 10.50
And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

Jesus and his diciples came to Jericho and while passing by, blind Bartimaeus, who was a beggar heard about Jesus and started shouting, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me'. Jesus called the man to come to him. Notice as Bartimaeus was coming to Jesus, He threw aside his garment. This is very significant.

His garment was actually a coat which identified him as underprivileged person in the society. It identified him as a genuine blind beggar so people could give alms to him. That coat meant everything to him. It was his source, his life dependent on it. Yet when Jesus called him, he threw it aside. This shows that Bartimaeus gave and surrendered his entire heart to Jesus even before he was healed. By calling Jesus the Son of David, he believed that Jesus was the Messiah and responded to this new found revelation by making Jesus his only source. Notice he didn't do it after he was healed. He didn't play it safe. He didn't take his coat along when Jesus called him, thinking what if nothing happened.

Like Bartimaeus, give your heart wholly to Jesus. Trust him completely and fully. Make him your source. Throw aside everything that's keeping you from giving you entire heart to Jesus. He will meet all your expectations and beyond. He will never disappoint or fail you. You can trust him. Once you give your heart fully to Jesus, you will see his glory in every area of your life. Those who look to Him as their one and only source will be radiant and they will never be covered with shame. Never. Hallelujah.

"I trust the Lord fully and depend on Him completely. Like Bartimaeus, I make Jesus my one and only Source. Jesus is enough for me and He takes care of me. I trust Him and I do what He says and therefore I always succeed and my life is an example for every nation on earth."

Like a little child.

Like a little child.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 1.38
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

God can do so many outstanding things in your life if you just respond like Mary did. God is looking for people who will boldly accept the word of God and not question or doubt it even when it doesn't make any sense.

Faith pleases God because it gives Him permission to do something in your life. This is Love. Hebrew talks about how Israel heard the word preached to them but it did not profit them because it was not mixed with faith. God spoke to Mary through the angel and said that she will have a son. It was very difficult for her to digest it because she wasn't married and no man had ever slept with her. But she boldly received the word because she knew, for God all things are possible and His word never fails. She didnt understand it but she believed it. Thats all God wanted. We don't have to know all the details and have all the answers. We just have to trust and know that what God has promised He is fully able to perform irrespective of how impossible it looks. You don't have to understand it, you have to believe it. You don't have to feel it, you have to believe it. You don't have to see it, you have to believe it. You don't have to pay for it, you only have to believe it.

Like little children, lets believe and recieve everything our Father God has promised and enjoy his great love for us. Abraham received a son when He was 100 yrs old. Jesus and Peter walked on water. Five loaves and two fishes were multiplied to feed more than five thousand people. All these outstanding miracles happended because there was always someone who said, 'Let it be according to your word'.

"Lord Jesus, I believe and recieve your word. I believe that what you have promised, you are well able to perform. I refuse to doubt even though I don't understand it. Like a child, I trust you and I thank you for your love. Amen"

Too hard ?

Too hard?
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Genesis 18.14
Is anything too hard for the Lord ?

Ask yourself these questions and ponder over them for a few minutes.  Is anything too hard for the Lord? Is there anything that's impossible for God? Is there anything that's too complicated for God to solve? Is there any problem that God looks at and runs away?

Everything God did since the beginning of time was hard, impossible and complicated. That's his expertise. He is a specialist in the impossibilities. Nothing is impossible for God.  God created the universe with his words in six days. He counts the number of stars and calls them each by name. Isaiah says, He holds the oceans in his hands, He measures the heavens with his fingers, He knows the weight of the earth and has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale. Our God is big. Hallelujah. He became a man. Unlimited became limited. He died on the cross. He went to hell and defeated Satan in his own territory, defeated all sickness, all poverty, all sin and all curse. He defeated all hell and rose again victorious forevermore.

Friend, there is nothing too hard for God. Have faith in God. Trust Him. Your faith is His limit. Although He can do anything and everything but for us He can only do to the extent of our faith. We have a free will and therefore God's work and ability is limited to our faith in Him. Work on your faith. Labour on developing your trust. Nothing is impossible for him who believes because the one who believes opens the door to God for whom nothing is impossible. Give Him your faith and let Him make all things possible for you. Go on with Jesus!

“I believe nothing is too hard for God. I don't limit God. I feed on the word and develop my faith in God. As my faith grows, God's work in my life increases. Nothing is impossible for me. I am going higher and higher by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah.”

Fight of faith

Fight of faith.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Joshua 18.3
Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?

The Lord had already given the land to the children of Israel. But there were a few among them who still had not possessed what God had given them in his great grace.

It seems to me that they were either lazy or were just afraid to put up a fight for possession with the inhabitants of the land. Without a fight, there is no possession. In his great love and grace, God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ and has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Healing. Prosperity. Deliverance. Victory. Peace. Its all ours because of the blood of Jesus. Yet there are some believers who still don't enjoy the manifestations of these outstanding blessings that God has given us. Remember, without a fight, there is no manifestation. The fight I am talking about is not a physical fight. Its called the fight of faith. Faith is the only way a believer can possess the possession. Faith is the only way you can experience and enjoy the inheritance that God has given you. Faith is the only way the blessings can manifest. Faith is a fight. If it were not a fight, every believer would have been walking in the manifestation of Gods blessings. We can't afford to be ignorant, complacent, lazy or afraid.

These blessings belongs to you. Its yours. Take it now. Everything Jesus did, He did it so you could enjoy your life and have an abundant life till it overflows.  This is the fight of faith : Hear the word. Believe the word. Meditate on the word. Speak the word. Do the word. Refuse to give up. Walk in love. Give God praise and thanksgiving because its already done. These eight steps in consistency is the fight of faith. You are fighting for something that belongs to you. If you are not willing to fight, you will not enjoy the blessings which the blood of Jesus has made available for you. Take what is yours!  You are not waiting for the blessings, the blessings are waiting for you.

*"I fight the good fight of faith. It's mine and I will not quit till I have the manifestation of my blessings. I will not allow Satan to distract me and I will not permit him to block the blessings. I work diligently on the word and I enjoy the full manifestation of my blessings. Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus."*

With God all things are possible.

Genesis 17.17
Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a  child? ”

--> At this time, Abraham and Sarah were well advanced in years. God spoke to him and said they will have a son and they are to name him Isaac.

Abraham laughed because its impossible and there's no way a child can be born to such an old couple. Romans talks about the deadness of Sarahs womb and the weakness of Abrahams body. Naturally speaking theres no way for this to happen. God introduced himself to Abraham in the beginning of this chapter as Elshaddai, the Almighty God.  All powerful God.  Gods promise wasn't based on Abraham or Sarahs strength. It was based on His strength. God told Abraham I am your strength and you will have a child because of my strength. Finally Abraham believed God and was fully persuaded that God was able to do what He has promised.

Friend, like Abraham you may be surrounded by impossibilities, doubts and negative reports and you think there's no way Gods promises can ever be fulfilled in my life. As long as you look at yourself and at the things around you, you will question Gods promises like Abraham did. The moment you look and behold God, his word, his wisdom, his riches, his strength, his power, his love and his finished works and know that He is well able, you will see the manifestation of Gods promises in your life.  Fix your eyes on Jesus, on what he has said, on what he has done and be convined and persuaded that He is more than able to do what He has promised. Jesus is Lord.

The word is the beginning.

Luke 1.35
And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will overshadow you, therefore also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God."

--> An angel was sent to Mary in Nazareth to tell her she would bring forth Jesus. She couldnt understand how this would be because she had never slept with a man and so this looked impossible to her. She thought how can a woman have a child without seed from a man. She asked the angel, How can this be? She was concerned because birth begins with a seed and she hadnt received seed from any man. She was curious.

The angel explained to her that the word of God was the seed for the birth. You remember John 1.1 says In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. All things were made through the word. The word of God is the beginning. The word of God is the seed. Hallelujah. As she receives the word, the Holy Spirit will come upon her and the power of the Highest will overshadow her and there will be birth. The Holy Spirit comes upon the word and the power of the Most High overshadows the word and brings it to pass.

Friend, hold on to all that God has spoken to you no matter how impossible and difficult it looks today. Every word of God is full of power. Nothing is impossible for God. As you receive his word and speak it out, the Holy Spirit will bring into manifestation the word of God and fulfill your joy. When God said Light be, the Spirit of God took those words and brought it into manifestation. Don't give up believing and speaking the word of God. You will see the glory of God and the manifestations of all that God has spoken to you. Shalom.

Give your heart.

Mark 12.41
Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury and many who were rich put in much.

Jesus is the manifested will of God in action. He sat opposite to the treasury and saw how people gave offerings. Notice the bible says 'How'. Jesus was not interested in the amount but rather in the motive and attitude of the giver.

Man looks on the outside but God looks on the heart.  When Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with an expensive perfume Judas said it was a waste and it should have been sold and money given to the poor. On the outside it looked as if Judas was really concerned about the poor, but in reality he was a thief and wanted to steal that money. For God your heart is very important. Your motive, your attitude and your reason for doing things. Jesus said in John, the Father is seeking true worshippers who will worship him in spirit and in truth. He said about the religious people, they honour me with their lips but their hearts are far from me.

Cain and Abel both offered to God but Abel was accepted and Cain wasn't. Abel gave his first and best to God that shows his reverence for God and his kingdom whereas Cain gave his last and worst which expresses the level of respect  he had for God . The word says Let each one give as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or by compulsion or under pressure, for God loves a cheerful giver. When we get a revelation of how much God loves us and of all that he has done for us, giving to God then becomes an honour and a privilege and never a burden. Whatever you do for God, do it with all of your heart in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.

One thing is needed.

Mark 1.38
But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”

--> Jesus was a man of purpose, a man of focus, completely focused on his God given purpose. Everything he did was in line with and for the fulfilment of his purpose. He never did anything that was against his purpose or wasn't contributing to his purpose. His purpose coloured everything he said and did in his lifetime.

Jesus said to Martha that she was troubled and worried about many things but only one thing is needed and Mary has chosen the good part and it won't be taken from her. We need to be people of one thing. We must be totally and completely focused on our God given purpose. We must never allow Gods purpose to be replaced by 'where I get the maximum money' or 'where I get the most attention' or 'where I am the most comfortable'. Proverbs says many are the plans in a mans heart but its the Lords purpose that will prevail. As you discover your God given purpose and indulge in fulfilling it, you will be disciplined and self controlled. Purpose makes you a disciplined person. You are careful where you go, what you talk, to whom you talk, what friends you have, how you use your time, what shows you watch. Purpose makes you a very focused person. It makes you a very disciplined person.

Paul said walk worthy of the calling you have received. We can easily do so by looking to Jesus, our standard and by the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. Choose purpose over popularity and publicity. Choose purpose over majority. Choose purpose over money.  Choose purpose over the comforts of life. Your God given purpose, your vision will elevate to a higher life, a disciplined life, a glorious life that will bless humanity and bring glory and honour to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Shalom

Every eye will see Him.

Every eye will see Him.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Matthew 24.27
For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Jesus is coming back very soon. We are living in the last of the last days. His first coming was for sinners but his second coming is for those who are eagerly waiting for him by living a life worthy of Him.

Revelation 1. 7 says ...every eye will see him even those who pierced him. This means no one will miss his coming. No matter where a person is or what time of the day it is, no one will miss out on seeing the second coming of Jesus Christ.  Its important we understand this and if you haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, I encourage you to do so right now in accordance with Romans 10. 9, 10 'that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.' Jesus is coming back!

Jesus said many will come and say here is the Christ and there is the Christ. He also said many false prophets and teachers will rise and say 'I am the Christ' and will show many signs and wonders to decieve believers. He warned us to be careful and remain rooted and grounded on the word of God. His coming will be so spectacular and glorious that it wont need any advertisement, introduction or publicity. I pray that every one who reads this will not only see Him coming but also ride on His rapture train and be with him forever and ever. Amen. Shalom.

"I live a life worthy of the Lord. My Lord is coming back soon and I am ready for His second coming. As I wait expectantly, I prepare myself, as a bride prepares for her bridegroom, in the word, in prayer and in fulfilling my assignment. Come, Lord Jesus."

Pay the price.

Matthew 20.22
But Jesus answered and said, “You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to Him, “We are able.”

--> Jesus said this in response to the mother of James and John when she asked for places of honour for her boys. Jesus responded by saying there is a price to pay. A cup to drink and a baptism to be baptised with.

Every believer has to pay the price. Many want places of honour but not many want to pay the price. Jesus said to his followers, If anyone desires to follow me, he must deny himself, carry his cross and follow me. For he who saves his life will lose it and he who loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it. Self sacrifice for God is the pathway to greatness.

Jesus said I have not come to do my will but the will of the Father who sent me. At the garden of Gethsamane he said, Father, not my will but yours be done. *Every great accomplishment today is a result of a great price*. We need to take up Gods agenda, His will and His vision and be fully committed to it. We must spend time in prayer and in the word, keeping our desires, passions and agenda aside for the glory of the one who loved us and died for us. Paying the price is not easy but nothing great happens without sacrifice. Selfishness is the biggest enemy of greatness.

I encourage you to discover your God given purpose and fully immerse yourself in fulfilling it. Invest your time, energy and money into it. As you pay the price in fulfilling the work and the assignments that God has given you, you will be fulfilled and satisfied. Just like Jesus said, The son of man didn't come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. Remember, there is a cup to drink and a baptism to be baptised with.  There is a price to pay. There is a cost to bear. You will get it done by the power of the Holy Spirit. Shalom

Your Mighty Helper.

Luke 12. 11,12
Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

--> Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to help us in every area of our lives. He said i won't leave you as orphans i will come to you through the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Comforter, Counsellor, Strengthener, Standy, Intercessor and Advocate. He lives in everyone who has received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Once you realise who's in you, you will have a different outlook towards life. I call it the winning attitude. John said Greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world. Be conscious of the Spirit of God in you today and yield to him in everything you do, He will make you a complete success.

The Holy Spirit gives you power to be a witness and to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His only objective is to help you think, talk and act like Jesus. Your success is his goal. He will guide you, teach you, lead you, show you things to come. Rely on him. Expect these things from Him because Jesus said so. Remember, its not by might, nor by power, but by the Holy Spirit. Shalom.

The power is in God's word.

The power is in God's word.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Mark 12.24
Jesus answered and said to them, Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not now the scriptures nor the power of God?

The word of God is the power of God. The reason the Sadducees didn't experience God's miracle working power because they didn't know his word. Religion gives more importance to the commandments of men rather than the commandments of God. In another place, Jesus said by your traditions, you make the word of God of no effect. Man made traditions will block the work of God's word.

The word of God is full of God's life, God's power and God's wisdom. One word from God can change your life forever. It was one word "Come" from the Master and Peter defied the law of gravity and walked on water. Thats powerful! His word is powerful.

Be a consistent hearer and doer of God's word. We change our lifestyle to fit the word and never change the word to fit our lifestyle. The word is first and final. God is searching for people who are fully committed to him and his word so that He can manifest his resurrection power through them and meet the needs of the dying world. Break all traditions and follow the word of the living God. Let nothing hold you back. Shine! Believe! Speak! Love!

"If God said it, then thats what i am going to do. His word is first place and final authority in my life. Hallelujah."

Life Redefined.

Life Redefined.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 12.15
And He said to them, Take heed and beware of covetousness for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.

Jesus said, Life is not defined, measured or secured by the things you have or own, whether you have little or much. The world seeks value and security in things. No wonder they keep running after it all the day long. They believe - the more things they have, the more valuable and secure they are. Jesus redined life. Hallelujah.

The word says, What will it profit you if you gain the whole world and yet forfeit your soul? Our value and security is not based on possessions - how much or how less we have. Notice that is not to say that we are not to have things. We are the seed of Abraham. We are supposed to prosperous in every area of our life. Jesus said seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will he added to you. So you see God is not against us having things and being prosperous. This is your value - God gave up His Son for you and Jesus loves you. Our life is not defined, derived,  measured or secured by clothes, houses, vehicles or the things we have. Our value is not derived from physical things. Life, is knowing who we are in the sight of God and doing everything he wants us to do. This gives life meaning, value and security.

You are His masterpiece created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which he prepared beforehand so you would walk in them. As you grow in the knowledge of His love and in the knowledge of who you are in Christ and as you totally committ yourself in fulfilling your God given assignment, you will find fulfilment, satisfaction, security and life. Jesus said, he who saves his life will lose it but he who loses his life for my sake and the gospel will find it. Live a higher life. Shalom.

“I am valuable because Jesus loves me and He gave up His life for me. This is my worth. Hallelujah. My value or security is not based how much or how less clothes, money or property I have. Jesus is my life and therefore I am valuable, secure and successful. I live the higher life.”

Jesus, Your Provider!

Jesus, your Provider!
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 12.22
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, nor about the body, what will you put on.

I say to you ...who's I ?. Most people worry because they dont know the one who said do not worry. Hosea says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. When you know Jesus, his character, his ability, his love, his wisdom; your days of worry will be over forever.

Jesus commanded us not to worry because God has made him the head of the Church.  He is responsible for us. He is responsible for every single thing that concerns us. He has all authority in heaven and on earth. He is above all principality, all power, all might, all dominion and every name thats named not only in this age but also in the one to come. He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. All things were created through him, by him and for him. He is before all things and in him all things consist. He is the one who multiplied 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed more than five thousand people. He is the one who paid tax money from the mouth of a fish. He is the one who rebuked the winds and spoke to the sea. He is the one who defeated all hell and rose again victorious and alive forevermore. Do you know the one who told you not to worry.?

Jesus cares for you intimately and passionately. Do not let anyone take your eyes off from the word. When you know that He's responsible for you, you will understand the reason he commands us. This is the reason He said, if you love me, you will obey my commands. When you obey Him, you accept and acknowledge him as you Lord and Head. He is a love leader. Know today, He loves you and He's for you. He can fix anything and everything. Do not worry. Have faith in God. Shalom.

“Jesus is my Head. Jesus is my Shepherd. Jesus is my Vine. I trust Him and I do what He says. I refuse to worry. I trust My King. He loves me and will take care of me. I have no doubt. I completely trust my King of kings, my Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.”

Obedience pleases God.

Genesis 7.5
And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.

--> There's nothing more pleasing to God than obedience. Samuel said to Saul, 'To obey is better than sacrifice'. Mary said to the servants, 'Do whatever He tells you'.

When you read Hebrews 11 which is also known as Faith Hall of Fame, you see every person enlisted in the chapter was an obedient person. They heard what God said and did exactly what he said. Jesus said if you love me, you will obey me. By his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus made us new creations, he made us the righteousness of God, he made us sons of God and the seed of Abraham. He resuced and delivered us from the dominion of darkness, sin, sickness, poverty, curse and spiritual death. He loved us first even when we didn't deserve it.

Your obedience is a proof of your love for him. The only way you can love Jesus is by obeying what He has said in His word and what He says through the Holy Spirit. Make a quality decision to be an obedient child of God. As you walk in obedience, you will experience the manifestation of Gods glory and His best in every area of your life. Isaiah says,'If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best of the land'. Remember, we love because He first loved us. Shalom.

Faithfulness brings promotion.

Faithfulness brings promotion.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Luke 16.10
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

God will never promote an unfaithful person. Faithfulness is big in the kingdom of God. Its big in the eyes of God.

A faithful person is one who can be trusted, one who is reliable, firm and steadfast. He will not leave nor forsake. He will stick till the end. God is faithful. Jesus is faithful. The bible says Abraham, Moses, David, Paul were faithful. Thats one of the reasons God could use them mightily because He could trust them. David was faithful in managing his father's sheep before he was promoted to be the king of Israel. Joseph was faithful with his father's sheep, he was faithful in Potiphars house and he was faithful in the prison before he was promoted to be the second most powerful person in the world. Faithfulness brings promotion. God is looking for faithful people. The Bible says His eyes are always searching for people who are faithful to him.

So wherever you are today, I encourage you to be faithful in all your endeavours. As an employee, as a husband, as a wife, as a son, as a daughter, as a parent, as a minister, as a businessman....Be faithful. Be faithful to God and His word. Promotion is on its way.

" I am a faithful person and I abound with many blessings. Wherever I am and whatever I have, I use it all for the glory of Jesus with gratitude. I look to Jesus and finish my course with excellence, holiness and joy."

The First and the Best

The first and the best.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Genesis 4:3‭-‬4
And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord . Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering.

Abel was a keeper of the sheep and Cain was a tiller of the ground. We bring offerings to God because by our giving we acknowledge that God is our source and sustainer. By our giving, we remember the Lord and acknowledge His undeniable participation in our prosperity.

Abel brought the first and the best of his work to God. Hebrews says by faith he offered it to God. He actually believed that all that he has today its because of the goodness and grace of God. It was evident in his offerings. Faith is expressed in actions. The Bible says God accepted Abels offering because it was offered by faith and its only by faith we can please God. The amount doesn't matter, what matters is faith - your trust in God. When a widow gave her last two coins into the temple treasury, Jesus said, she has given more than anyone else. You see, it wasn't about the amount, it was about her trust that was revealed when she gave everything she had. On the other hand, Cain didn't believe that God was his source and sustainer. He was of the view that God had nothing to do with his life and work and it was all because of his hard work, wisdom and intelligence and other human factors. Deuteronomy 8.18 says Remember the Lord your God for it is he who gives you the power to get wealth. Cain didn't offer it by faith. He didn't honour God with his first and best. He gave God leftovers. Therefore God didn't recieve or accept his offering. God doesn't need our offerings because He owns everything. He established the giving programme so that when you acknowledge God's involvement in your finances, He will bless you even more - more than you can imagine and more than you can work for. Your giving is not for God's benefit, it's for your benefit. The sooner you understand this, the more eager and excited you will be in your tithing, sowing and giving.

Friend, give God your first and best. Be it time, energy or money...etc. Every good gift and perfect gift comes from him. God is our Source and Sustainer. When you acknowledge this in your giving, you will step into a higher dimension of prosperity like you have never known before. Remember, the first and the best belongs to God. You will never lack. Dominion in finances!

"I give my first and best to the Lord and by doing so I honour Him and remember that He is the one who gives me the power to get wealth. The Lord is my Source and my Sustainer. I never lack. I walk in overflow, abundance and more than enough in my finances. Hallelujah."

Deception of Independence

Deception of Independence.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Genesis 3.7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

God commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the day he eats, he will die. Satan deceived them and He ate the fruit of the tree. When God said Adam would die, it meant that Adam would be seperated from him. This talks about spiritual death. Physical death is separation from body. Spiritual death is seperation from God.

God is sovereign and humans are not. God is independent and we are not, we are totally dependent. Satan decieved Eve and Adam, who was with her and convinced them that living independent lives is way better and there was no need for them to be dependent on God. Be your own God and live as you want. Thats exactly what Lucifer did. He tried to become God and was kicked out of heaven. The moment they ate of the fruit they got disconnected from God and were connected to Satan. As soon as they ate the fruit, their eyes were opened and they knew they were naked. Here, nakedness was a result of what happened in their spirit. They inherited the nature of Satan - they hid from God and started blaming and accusing one another - they became selfish.

Adam tried to fix this spiritual problem by making a suit of fig leaves. You cannot solve a spiritual problem with physical activities and things. Thats why no religion can save humanity. Jesus shed His blood and died for us on the cross, paid the punishment for Adams transgressions, destroyed the enemy and his works and rose again on the third day alive forevermore. The only way you can change your spiritual state is by believing what Jesus has done and by receiving Him as your Lord and Saviour. The moment you do that, you are born again. You become a new creation in Christ.  You inherit eternal life, the nature of God and you are made the righteousness of God in Christ. God becomes your Father and you become His beloved child. Jesus is the way!

"I am completely dependent on my Father. I say what I hear Him say, I do what I see Him do. I and my Father are one. Jesus has washed me, sanctified me and justified me by His blood. My complete dependence on my Father makes me a success just like Jesus. Hallelujah."

Use your Authority.

Mark 4.41
And they feared exceedingly and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey him"

--> Jesus rebuked the winds and spoke to the sea. Disciples were amazed at what Jesus did. They had never seen anything like this. Jesus was a man of faith, a man of authority. He knew his rights and exercised it. Jesus said he has given us the same authority to live a victorious and supernatural life. He has given us his faith, his word and his name. He expects us to walk in the supernatural just as He did.

Jesus said the things i did you will do and greater things than these you will do because I go to my Father. We have his authority and we have his faith and we can speak His word to the sea, to the winds, to the mountain, to any challenge that you are facing today and you will have the same results. Hallelujah. Jesus came as the sample son to demonstrate the lifestyle of the children of God.

The day you accepted Christ, you are a new creation, born of God, born of his word and by the power of the Holy Spirit. You are exactly like Jesus himself. So take your place. Know who you are. Speak. Keep moving in Jesus name. You will never be the same. Amen

His word is powerful.

Mark 4:15
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

—> Satan is after the word. Jesus said when the word is sown, he doesn't just come, he comes immediately. That tells me how scared Satan is when a believer hears the word, He doesn't want you to receive the word or walk in it, because if you do so, you will change your world by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Everytime you hear the word in church or television or wherever, remember Satan comes immediately to steal it. We must not have a casual attitude towards the word, we must highly reverence and honour the word. It is the word of the Almighty God. He sent his word and healed us. His word builds us up. His word is life. His word is wisdom.

The Lord spoke to me in my study years ago "Protect the word and the word will protect you". You will protect only what you value.  Its the word of the Almighty God. Its valuable. Its precious. Protect it. The Father is glorified when he sees much fruit in your life. Satan, on the contrary, wants your life to be barren, futile and miserable. No wonder he's after the word. It's only through the word, your life will be fruitful and glorious.

Hear the word, receive it, do what it says and live a fruitful life. His word is enough. Shalom.
