Serve your generation.

Acts 13.36
“For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption

Of all the generations since the beginning of time, God released you in this generation because this is your time, this is your season and this is your generation.

We are born in this generation to serve this generation. God has given us specific callings and gifts to serve our generation. Every human on earth has something unique that others need. No one is insignificant and useless. Each one is valuable and has something to offer. This verse says David served his generation. When Jesus came in the flesh, He said I did not to come to be served but to serve and give my life as a ransom for many. What does serving your generation mean?  Serving your generation simply means doing what God has called you to do and using the gifts he has given you to bless people.

Jesus said the one who serves is the greatest among you. He was talking about the ones who do what God has called them to do. David fulfilled Gods plan and served his generation. Friend, fulfill Gods plan for your life and serve your generation. We need you, your calling, your gifts and your service. You are important. I declare, you will serve your generation with passion and joy and be a blessing to many In Jesus name, Amen.

Be bold and talk about God.

Genesis 39:2‭-‬3
The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord  was with him and that the Lord  made all he did to prosper in his hand.

When I read these verses this morning, I heard God say to me, 'How did the Egyptian know about the Lord?' That's amazing to me.

You see, no matter where Joseph was, He always spoke about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He was so vocal about it that Potiphar knew that it was the presence of the Lord that made this young man successful. Pharaoh had a dream and no one in his kingdom could interpret the dream but when Joseph came to help Pharaoh, He said It's not in me but God is the one who will interpret it for you. No matter the place and no matter whom he's talking to, Joseph always acknowledged God. He boasted and bragged on God everywhere He went and it was evident in everything He did.

Friend, don't be ashamed to talk about Jesus. Be bold and let your world know, Jesus is the reason you are healed, saved, delivered and blessed. Paul said I am not ashamed to talk about Jesus even if I have to lose my life for it. Jeremiah says let the one who boasts, boast that he understands and knows the Lord. Hallelujah to Jesus. Jesus is Lord.

Tithe : An integral part of your life.

Genesis 2: 16-17
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

God specifically told Adam what he is supposed to eat and what he is not supposed to eat. God commanded Adam not to eat the fruit of one tree but gave him the right to eat from any other tree. Why would God do this? What difference does a single tree make?

Tithe is 10% of your income and it belongs to God. This is established and ordained by God since the garden of Eden. The reason God told them not to eat from one tree is not because God was hungry but because He wanted Adam to acknowledge that God is His Source and everything he has today is because of the grace and love of God and everything that he will ever need in the future will be taken care of by God himself. Hallelujah. Guess, what was Satan after ? After that one tree. God and Satan are not after money. But they are after your trust. God commanded Adam not to declare independence but to acknowledge God as the Source and depend on Him for every single thing by refusing to eat the fruit of that tree. Don't eat your tithe for it is holy and it belongs to Jesus, our high priest. Tithe acknowledges God as the Source and Sustainer of your life. It affects not just your finances but every area of your life. Jesus said give to God what is Gods and to Caesar what is Caesar's.

Tithe releases the blessing thats on your life and the released blessing makes you rich without any sorrow. Always give God your first and your best. Friend, why don't you acknowledge that you are not independent but totally dependent on the Father by giving your tithe faithfully and joyfully. Tithe is an integral part of your life and it affects every area of your life. As you faithfully tithe your first and best to God, praise and thank Him and expect Him to meet all your needs for He is your Source and your Sustainer. Jesus is Lord!

The delight of the Lord.

Psalms 147.11
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.

The Lord takes pleasure or in other words He is well pleased, He treasures, favours and delights in those who fear him and trust his mercy. One translation says He enjoys and values them. Think about that.

To fear him simply means to give him honour and respect in every area of your life. He enjoys and greatly delights in people who honour him in their speech, in their work place, in their colleges, amongst their friends, in their marriage relationship and other areas of their life. Joseph's brothers put him in a pit but God delivered him and made him the prime minister of the largest economy of the world at that time. But when his brothers came to him for help, Joseph didn't punish them or accuse them, He forgave them and by doing so He honoured God. Honoring God is a choice you will have to make for yourself. God is looking for people, His word says he is seeking for those who honour him with their hearts so that He can show himself strong on their behalf.

Friend, Jesus said I always please my Father. Make it a sole objective of your life to give God honour in every area of your life and in everything you do even if no one is watching. Give weight to his words just like you would give much thought and weight to the words of a doctor or a lawyer or a trusted friend and do what the word says. The biggest honour you can give God is paying close attention to His word and doing exactly what He says. He enjoys it and is well pleased with it.

Say, "I am redeemed"

Psalm 107:2
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,

As believers, its important we say, I am redeemed. To redeem means to deliver and set free from the power of another by the payment of a price.

Jesus paid a huge price to redeem us from the dominion of Satan. The price was his precious sinless blood. By his sacrifice he has redeemed you from the clutches of the enemy and therefore Satan has no legal right over you. You are the redeemed of the Lord. Anytime Satan or anything from his kingdom attacks you, say 'I am redeemed'. When you say that, you are saying this cannot touch me because Jesus has paid the price and delivered me from it. You are free from it. You are immune to it. We must become redeemed conscious. It's a legal fact, recognised by the supreme court of the universe. It's time, we as believers be conscious of our redemption and incorporate it in our language and make it an irresistible part of our vocabulary.

Jesus redeemed you and translated you into His kingdom. You are a citizen of heaven. You are from another planet. Your kingdom is from another place. Friend, be conscious that you are redeemed and that you belong to another planet. Next time when someone speaks about the mess of this world like terrorism, sicknesses, fear, poverty etc, be bold and say, 'Thank God I am redeemed and I am from another planet. Jesus is my Lord'.

The Lord will do it !

Psalms 138.8
The Lord will perfect that  which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord , endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

The Lord is good and his mercy endures forever. He will fulfil everything He has said about you. He will perfect that which concerns you. He will not quit or give up unless He brings to pass every single thing He has promised you. Glory to Jesus!

God promised David that he would be king of Israel. David faced really tough challenges because of that promise and it seemed as if He would never be king and Gods promise would never come to pass, but you see at the right time David became king. When Joseph was thrown in the pit and when he was accused of rape, it seemed as if His God given dream was over but you see God made him the prime minister of Egypt, the most powerful country of the world at that time. When Jesus died on the cross and was taken to hell, it seemed as if it was all over but on the third day He rose from the dead and is seated on the right hand of God today. There is no wisdom, no plan and no strategy that can succeed against the Lord. What the Lord has begun, He will bring to completion. He does not quit on you and He will not quit on you.

Friend, God has spoken many things concerning you but sometimes because of the challenges you are facing today, you feel, will it ever come to pass . Buckle up, because your God is the Most High God, He will not give up on you. There is nothing that scares Him. He is the God of the impossibilities. Trust Him and honour him in every thing you do. Give thanks to Him and bless His holy name for He will fulfill every single thing He has spoken about you. The Lord will perfect that which concerns you. Hallelujah.

The integrity of God's word.

Psalms 138.2
I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

God will never violate His word. He will keep His word even if it costs Him everything He has. What an awesome God we serve!

The word says heaven and earth will pass away but his words will never pass away. Jesus said the Scripture cannot be broken. God is not a man that He should lie nor a son of man that He should change his mind. When we are convinced of this aspect of God's character, we can trust him and his word easily. The above verse says God has magnified his word above all His name. This means when God says something, He himself is subject to what He said. He has to fulfill it because His integrity and reputation is on the line. He has never lost his reputation because He always does what He says. Always. Never has he broken his word and never will He ever break his word. Jeremiah says God is watching over his word to perform it. You can trust God to keep his word. His track record is excellent, flawless and unrivaled. The thought of crucifying his Son didn't hinder him from fulfilling his word. The thought of separating Jesus from himself and sending him to hell didn't scare him to change his word. He will not change his word. Glory to God.

Friend, all of God's promises are Yes and Amen in Christ. Ain't you glad that God will never change or violate his word. In this ever changing world, the only thing that is stable, certain and unchanging is Gods word. Hold on to His word and you will see the faithfulness of God. Remember, Jesus is Lord and the best is yet to come.
