Taught by God.

Taught by God.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

John 7:15‭-‬16
The Jews there were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having been taught?”  Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.

You know Jesus wasn't formally trained, schooled or educated. But He spoke and taught in a way that amazed the Jews. You remember, at the age of twelve when Jesus sat in the midst of scholars hearing them and asking them questions, the teachers and doctors of the law were astonished at His understanding and answers.

How could He do it - having never been formally trained? How could He talk and live with such wisdom that marvelled and astonished everyone who ever heard Him? Let me give some keys! In verse 16, Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.” There is a teaching that comes from the Father. No school, institution or college can give you this teaching. This heavenly teaching is not based on your education, family, financial or any other status. Believer, it's only dependent on your availability. If you make yourself available for the word of God, the Spirit of God who dwells in you will teach and show you things exactly the same way He did for Jesus. You will begin to know things beyond your formal education. You will begin to see things you never saw. You will have an insight, an understanding, a wisdom that helps you shine and stuns the people around you.

Make yourself available for the word and for the Holy Spirit. Don't let your education or lack of education limit you from receiving this higher teaching. Life is spiritual, earthly education is not enough to help you succeed in life. Yield to the word. Yield to the Holy Spirit. Stay on the word! Stay with the Holy Spirit!  This is your time to shine!

“I am taught by God. His word dominates me and I live by the teachings of the Holy Spirit. I speak and live wisely. My life is an unending stream of success, prosperity, influence and impact. I am the light of the world and Jesus is my light.”

Trust is work!

Trust is work!
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

John 6:28‭-‬29
Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Faith is work. Believing is work. Trust is work. Jesus said in John 6:27, ‘Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life..’ Work on the word! Labour on the word!

Unless you make a quality decision to work on the word, you will never experience a struggle free life and never enjoy sweatless victories. There is a higher life. Refuse to live like the world. You are from another planet. As you diligently work on the word, you will grow in the knowledge of Jesus. The more you know Him, the easier it is to trust Him. The more you trust Him, the more He will work in you, for you and through you. As you give Him space, He will turn your life, your family, your finances and everything that concerns you upside down for the better. Do overtime on God's word. Do double shift on God's word. You will never regret it. Give the word priority. Make the word first and final in your life. What a life!  Glory to God.

The reason many people are struggling in life is because they don't take the time to work on the word. The word is not the priority of their lives. They run for money, for properties, for fame, for selfish reasons and for temporary visible things. Stop! Change the train! Don't do what the Gentiles do, they seek after all these things day and night. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Go for the word. Your higher life awaits you!

“I work on the word. I am committed to grow more in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus. The word of God is the most important pursuit of my life. I labour on the word, I know my Lord, I trust Him and He works in me, through me and for me. I rest!  Hallelujah.”

Sin no more.

Sin no more.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

John 5:14
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

A man who was sick for thirty eight years was healed by Jesus. After a while Jesus found Him and said, 'See you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse things come upon you.'

Why does Jesus heal you and save you? He doesn't do it, so you can sin more. He does it so you can live for the glory of God. Sin is dangerous and it has terrible consequences. The wages of sin is death. Sin will spoil your life. Thats why Jesus said to the man, 'Stop sinning, lest something worse happens to you.' Sin opens the door for Satan to attack you. What is sin? Sin is breaking the commandment of God. The only commandment in the New Covenant is the Law of Love. Jesus said, “A new commandment I give you, Love one another as I have loved you.” The only way you can walk firmly on the Love Line is by knowing how much Jesus loves you. The only reason Jesus healed that man is simply because He loved Him not because that man deserved it or did anything good to get the healing. If that healed man only knew and believed the love that Jesus had for Him, He would have never sinned. Stay on the Love Line!

As long as you stay on the Love Line, Satan cannot touch you. The moment you drift from the Love Line, you become an open target for the devil to attack you. Jesus heals you, saves you and delivers you simply because He loves you. Know and believe His unconditional love for you and stay on the Love Line. Sin no more! Your sin doesn't stop Jesus from loving you. Your sin stops you and takes you out of the protection of the Father. If you make a mistake, repent, confess it and receive your forgiveness. Come back on the Love Line and Stay there!

“I am doer of the Love commandment. Come what may, I will never violate the Love commandment. I live in love, I walk in love and I breathe love. My Father loves me and I know it and I believe it. I am a love being, Love is my nature and I love!”

The Father seeks!

The Father seeks!
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

Can you imagine this, God Almighty - the Father of lights, mercies, spirits and glory is seeking for true worshippers? He's looking for such people. His heart desires and craves for true worshippers.

The true worshippers worship God in spirit and in truth. True worshippers aren't bothered about place or time, they worship all the time - in private and in public. Their worship towards the Father is expressed everyday and in everything they do, not just on Sunday. Their worship is real and comes out of their spirit. It's genuine. Nothing fake. No pretence. When Jesus said true worshippers, that means there are false worshippers too, for whom worship is limited to time and place. It's more about impressing other people than pleasing God. For such worship doesn't come from the heart but it's merely following traditions and customs of man. True worship is being conscious of the Father all the time, living in reverence before Him and honouring Him all the time and in everything you do.

The Father seeks true worshippers. If you are a true worshipper, no matter where you are, the Father will find you and use you mightily for His own glory.  Become a true worshipper. Meditate on the Father's love and let His love overwhelm you. Meditate on the words of the Father and let the word work in you strong. God is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

“I am a true worshipper and I worship the Father in spirit and in truth. My worship is not limited to time and place. It's real and is expressed in everything I do and everyday of my life. Worship is my lifestyle and Jesus is glorified through my life. Hallelujah.”

Christ, my wisdom.

Christ, my wisdom.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

I Corinthians 1:30
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

The day you got born again - that day was the greatest day of your life because you were included in Christ. Christ is in you and you are in Christ. Become Christ conscious. Be God inside minded.

God has made Christ your wisdom. Christ is your wisdom. Because you have Christ, you have the wisdom of God. The same wisdom with which God made the heavens and founded the earth, the same wisdom by which Jesus walked on the earth - that same wisdom is in you right this moment. Hallelujah. Because you are in Christ, you are as wise as Jesus. Irrespective of your education qualification, experience and Intelligence Quotient, you are as wise as Jesus Himself simply because you are in Christ. Don't look for wisdom outside - the wisdom of this world is foolish, earthly, sensual and demonic. All the wisdom that you will ever need in life is IN YOU - Christ in you. Look inside!

Proverbs 4.7 says, Wisdom is the most important thing. Long life is in her right hand, riches and honour in her left hand. Every believer ought to live a long, prosperous and honourable life because every believer has the wisdom of God in them. You can't  get this wisdom by education or experience, its only by the Holy Spirit. So refuse to complain, blame and grumble, just acknowledge this reality and let God's wisdom manifest in your life by feeding on God's word and by being sensitive to the unctions of the Holy Spirit. This is your time!

"I am in Christ therefore I have the wisdom to live this life successfully. I am as wise as Jesus Himself. His wisdom is working in me now, guiding my decisions, governing my actions, influencing my speech and impacting my life. I live a brilliant and excellent life - Christ my wisdom lives in me"

Manage your time wisely.

Manage your time wisely.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Ephesians 5:15‭-‬17
So pay close attention to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise. Make the most of your time because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Every believer is to make the most of their time in order to understand what the will of the Lord is, to understand what the Lord wants. To live foolishly would mean to be ignorant of God's will and live life as one wants and desires.

The days we live in are evil - the distractions are many. A wise believer will use His time wisely in finding out what the Lord wants instead of wasting his time in unnecessary and unproductive pursuits. You cannot know God's will unless you invest time in knowing what His will is. The primary place you discover the Lord's will is His word. His word is His will. The time that has been given to you i.e 24 hours in a day is to be used very wisely, diligently and circumspectly - as if you have purchased every minute. Give your time to God's will. Make a quality decision to do so. Not only are the days evil, but the days are also short - Jesus is coming back. Do not be so consumed in following and imitating the patterns and course of this world that you neglect doing what the Lord wants and bring yourself to an unproductive place. God's will is the best place to be.

The Apostle Paul says, undertand what the Lord's will is so you can make the most of every opportunity you have in doing what the Lord wants. As you invest your time in the word of God, the Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. There's nothing more important in life than doing what the Lord wants. Steal your time from the temporary physical things and invest it in the eternal spiritual things. So be wise, use your time wisely, understand the Lord's will and follow the plan wholeheartedly. This is your time.

“I am not a fool, I am wise. I use my time - every moment wisely. I understand the Lords will and I follow the plan wholeheartedly. I never lack and I am well taken care of. Glory to God.”
