Manage your time wisely.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews
Ephesians 5:15-17
So pay close attention to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise. Make the most of your time because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Every believer is to make the most of their time in order to understand what the will of the Lord is, to understand what the Lord wants. To live foolishly would mean to be ignorant of God's will and live life as one wants and desires.
The days we live in are evil - the distractions are many. A wise believer will use His time wisely in finding out what the Lord wants instead of wasting his time in unnecessary and unproductive pursuits. You cannot know God's will unless you invest time in knowing what His will is. The primary place you discover the Lord's will is His word. His word is His will. The time that has been given to you i.e 24 hours in a day is to be used very wisely, diligently and circumspectly - as if you have purchased every minute. Give your time to God's will. Make a quality decision to do so. Not only are the days evil, but the days are also short - Jesus is coming back. Do not be so consumed in following and imitating the patterns and course of this world that you neglect doing what the Lord wants and bring yourself to an unproductive place. God's will is the best place to be.
The Apostle Paul says, undertand what the Lord's will is so you can make the most of every opportunity you have in doing what the Lord wants. As you invest your time in the word of God, the Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. There's nothing more important in life than doing what the Lord wants. Steal your time from the temporary physical things and invest it in the eternal spiritual things. So be wise, use your time wisely, understand the Lord's will and follow the plan wholeheartedly. This is your time.
“I am not a fool, I am wise. I use my time - every moment wisely. I understand the Lords will and I follow the plan wholeheartedly. I never lack and I am well taken care of. Glory to God.”
