What is my calling?

What is my calling?
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Paul's first question to Jesus was, Who are you, Lord? and his second question was, What do you want me to do? Every person who loves Jesus wants to do something for Him. When you know how much Jesus has done for you, you want to do all that you can to serve Him and to bring Him glory through your life.

According to this verse, before you came into the earth, the Lord prepared your good works, your calling. Before Adam came, the garden of Eden was ready. If your calling wasn't ready, you wouldn't be born. You birth is proof that God has already prepared the good works you are supposed to walk in. God has given you a specific place in the body of Christ and a specific calling. Every believer has a place and a calling. No one is without a place and a calling. You were not born to make a calling, you were born to discover your calling, get in it, stay in it and bless the body of Christ and the world. Romans 11.29 says, The calling and gifts of God are irrevocable. Acknowledge that you are called by God and abide with the One who has called you. Your purpose can only be revealed by your Maker. As you stay connected to the Lord, He will reveal your purpose and you will enjoy each step of the way. Abiding in the Lord gives you clarity, direction, revelation and peace.

Friend, Joseph was called by God to be the prime minister of the world's most powerful country. But he didn't start at the throne. He started with His father's sheep and He was faithful. He was taken to Potiphars house, He was faithful. He was thrown in the prison and He was faithful there too. And finally He became the prime minister of Egypt. *He took every step as if that was his calling and served God no matter where he was and with what He had.* Where are you today? What do you have? Have a good attitude! Stay connected to Him and start serving Him, serve the body of Christ and as you do, you will begin to see yourself walking in the high and holy calling that God has for you. This is your time.

Speak the word!

Speak the word!
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Romans 10:8
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

As a believer, the word of God MUST be in your heart and in your mouth. When you make a decision to fill your heart with God's word and consistently speak the word of God, you will see transformation like you have never seen before.

I can't emphasize enough on how important it is for you to speak the word of God. Everything depends on your words. Proverbs 18.21 says, 'Life and death is in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat it's fruit'. Nothing changes unless your words change. You will only go where your words go. The reason many believers never enjoy peace is because they never speak God's word on peace. How can we enjoy peace when we speak what the world says instead of what the word says? No matter what you are going through, no matter what challenges you are facing, no matter how bad and how dark it looks right now, I dare you to speak Gods word. You may not understand it, but speak Gods word. You may not see any quick results, but speak Gods word. You may think and feel like nothing is working out, but speak Gods word. Let nothing stop you from speaking God's word. When you speak God's word, you cannot stay where you are, things begin to shift, darkness begins to disappear, daylight beings to shine and the glory of God begins to manifest.

Friend, will you make a quality decision of speaking God's word and only God's word no matter what? In the midst of darkness, challenges and chaos, Speak, Speak, Speak the word of God.  "Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. Victory is my inheritance and my right. I will not be defeated and I will not quit. I am child of the Most High God. This is my time and I am on my way to the greatest years of my life. Hallelujah to Jesus. I am so full of joy because Jesus is my Lord and the best is yet to come. Thank you Father. Glory to God."

Seeds or EMIs. Choose life!

Seeds or EMIs. Choose life!
-Pastor Ashish Mathews.

Proverbs 22:7
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.

The Bible has lot to say about debt. The one who borrows money is servant to the one who lends it. God does not want us to borrow from anyone but rather He wants us to lend to many nations because we are the seed of Abraham. He doesn't want anyone ruling over His children.

The word of God is eternal and it applies to every age and season. Just because the time has changed doesn't mean God's word has also changed. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Deuteronomy 28 tells us debt in under the curse. Romans 13.8 says Owe no man anything but to love one another. Debt is one of the ways Satan gets control over believers because you get connected to the one who lends to you. Besides God doesn't want you depending on anyone else for meeting your needs except Him alone. God is well able to meet all your needs and satisfy all your desires. Matthew 6.33 says Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things will be added to you. There is a kingdom way of having your needs and desires fulfilled. You don't have to depend and rely on this world system. The kingdom way is to stand on God's word and sow seeds consistently till you see the manifestation of your harvest. Instead of running to your relatives, friends, family and banks, why don't you trust God to meet your needs, wants and desires. Instead of paying EMIs consistently, why don't you choose to sow seeds consistently and let God do it for you. The kingdom way will give you a sweet sleep and keep you in perfect health with absolutely no anxiety. We don't live by the world system of buying and selling, we live by the kingdom system of sowing and reaping. Choose life!

Friend, I encourage you to choose the kingdom way. Every principle in the word of God is for your benefit. Refuse to take debt, refuse to borrow money. Choose the kingdom way, choose life. Eradicate every thought of debt from your mind because every one who takes debt is subject to and controlled by the one who lends. Declare total war on debt because debt is under the curse. Trust only in God, trust in His word. You are a seed of Abraham in Christ. God is your Source and Sustainer and He is well able to meet all your needs, wants and desires and keep you in total prosperity all the days of your life. Choose God! Choose His word!

Don't despise the mustard seed.

Don't despise the mustard seed.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Mark 4:31
The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth;

Nothing in the kingdom of God starts big. Everything in the kingdom of God starts with a seed. A mustard seed is so small, yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes great and the birds of the air can rest on its branches.

Do not despise small beginnings. Joseph came into Egypt as a slave. Jesus was born in a manger. David had five stones and a sling. Goliath laughed and mocked David but we know the result. Don't see the start as the world sees it, see the start as God sees it. When you make a decision to be faithful where you are and serve God with what you have, you will see supernatural progress. Remember, Small is Big when its put in the hand of God. When the boy gave his lunch of five loaves and two fishes to Jesus, the crowd of more than five thousand people were satisfied with twelve baskets remaining. When Jesus saw the small lunch, I am glad He didn't say "What are we going to do with so little, this is insignificant and absolutely nothing". You know what He said? He said, 'Make the people sit down in groups' Glory to God.

Friend, small is big with God. Start where you are and with what you have for kingdom expansion. As you invest what you have, Jesus said, when the mustard seed is sown, it grows up and becomes BIG and the birds of the air rest on it. Job 8.7 says, 'Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly.' Celebrate the small because you are on your way to the Big. This is your time!

God shows no partiality.

God shows no partiality.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

No one has been more misunderstood than God. Satan tries his very best to attack God's character and if you don't know your Father, you can easily be deceived. Know your Father, Know Jesus!

God does not show favoritism, He doesn't have favourites. He shows no partiality, He treats everyone equally. He loves you as much as He loves me and He loves me as much as He loves you. What God will do for one, He will do for all. Healing is not for a few favourites only, it's for anyone who will believe. Salvation is for all who believe. Prosperity, peace and protection is for anyone who will receive. The enemy loves to show God as someone who has favourites and will convince you that you are certainly not one of His special ones so he can hinder your receiving from God. Satan is a liar and a father of all lies. God loves you as much as He loves Jesus. God has given humanity all of His blessings and now whether we receive it or don't receive it, it's simply our choice. Anyone can enjoy the blessings of God. Anyone. Anywhere. Anytime. Jesus is the way. The reason some enjoy the blessings is because they believed God and acted on His word. The reason some don't is because they don't believe and don't act on God's word. It has nothing to do with God, it has everything to do with you, your choice, your decision.

Friend, don't allow the devil to steal the blessings of God by convincing you that God only blesses a few people. Anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus positions himself to experience the goodness and blessings of God. Know the character and nature of your Heavenly Father so you can adore Him, love Him and freely receive from Him. This is your time. Jesus is Lord.

The power of attorney!

The power of attorney!
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

John 16:23
And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

Jesus gave us the power of attorney, the right to use His name. The name of Jesus belongs to the body of Christ. As the name of a husband belongs to the wife, the name of Jesus belongs to us. The name of Jesus belongs to you just as much as it belongs to Jesus himself. Step out with that name!

When Jesus said this, He gave us a blank cheque with his signature on it. Jesus said, whatever you ask the Father in my name, He will give you. We have the right to use His name because that name belong to us just as much as it belongs to Him. Jesus gave you His name. The whole family of God in heaven and on earth is named with that name. Jesus expects you to use His name. Mark 16:17‭-‬18 says, "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Every believer has the right to use His name and have their prayers answered and enjoy the benefits of using the name. Proverbs 18:10 says, The name of the Lord  is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

Friend, the name of Jesus, which is higher than all other names is yours. Unless you use it by faith, it won't help you. He gave it to you so you could use it and live a life of victory. Develop faith in the name by meditating on the scriptures that talk about His name and then begin to boldly use the name of Jesus in every area of your life. You have the right to use it because Jesus gave you the power of attorney. Jesus is Lord!

Pray for all the saints.

Pray for all the saints.
- Pastor Ashish Mathews

Ephesians 6:18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

The church is the body of Christ. One body, many members. We are one body and one family, the family of God. Some in heaven, some on earth. One Big Family.

Every believer is called to pray for all the saints on earth. We are to pray for every member of our local church and also the church around the world. We are many members but one body, if one part suffers every one suffers and if one part rejoices every one rejoices. We are one! The church is one. As we pray for each other with perseverance and supplication, declaring the word of God over each other, we will see tremendous supply of the Spirit available for each one of us. Some of us are being persecuted, some of us are being tempted, some of us are struggling in some other area but when we pray for one another, we are releasing supernatural strength for one another by the Holy Spirit. Pray much in tongues for the body of Christ. I need your prayers and you need my prayers because we are one and together we grow.

Friend, let's declare the blessings of God over one another, over all the saints. Pray that they stand perfect in all the will of God and be built up in love and strengthened in the faith and grace of God. I encourage you to take up praying for your actual family, the family of God. This is your family. This is your time.
