Give your heart.

Mark 12.41
Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury and many who were rich put in much.

Jesus is the manifested will of God in action. He sat opposite to the treasury and saw how people gave offerings. Notice the bible says 'How'. Jesus was not interested in the amount but rather in the motive and attitude of the giver.

Man looks on the outside but God looks on the heart.  When Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with an expensive perfume Judas said it was a waste and it should have been sold and money given to the poor. On the outside it looked as if Judas was really concerned about the poor, but in reality he was a thief and wanted to steal that money. For God your heart is very important. Your motive, your attitude and your reason for doing things. Jesus said in John, the Father is seeking true worshippers who will worship him in spirit and in truth. He said about the religious people, they honour me with their lips but their hearts are far from me.

Cain and Abel both offered to God but Abel was accepted and Cain wasn't. Abel gave his first and best to God that shows his reverence for God and his kingdom whereas Cain gave his last and worst which expresses the level of respect  he had for God . The word says Let each one give as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or by compulsion or under pressure, for God loves a cheerful giver. When we get a revelation of how much God loves us and of all that he has done for us, giving to God then becomes an honour and a privilege and never a burden. Whatever you do for God, do it with all of your heart in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
